@01:51CS5 now has the Width tool so it makes it even easier and faster to get this result. It also allows you to change the thickness of your line weight through out your strokes to give the line weight a more " Comic book thick to thin feel.

@00:38I select the ends and use the average command.

An easy way to produce an tapered stroke in Illustrator.

Tools used:

Blob Brush

Average command under

OBJECT/PATH/ AVERAGE.

@01:50Wow, that tutorial was way to quick for me. Useful but I wish I could zoom in and see what you were doing better. Do you have to use the blob rush tool to create this?

@01:51Why not just use a pressure brush and get the tappered effect automaticly instead of having to go back and redo all of the ends? :aww:

Not everyone has a tablet.
No need to mess with any settings.

People with mouse are better off using the pentool instead of the blobbrush. Using the blobbrush with a mouse is hard.
Because setting the pressure is hard to explain?
